Social Santa

SSUIMUN held a clothes donation drive in areas around Sri Sri University on the occasion of Christmas. We call it as “Social Santa” which provides our students to be a Santa in the lives of deficient social groups.


SSUIMUN came up with a talk show, which is a platform where Bright minds come together and are aimed at bringing learning and inspiration through life stories.

Plantation Drive

SSUIMUN gave the participants the opportunity to showcase their part for the environment. Awareness was spread by the participants through posters, articles, poetry, plantation, cleaning, etc.


In celebration of Pride Month, SSUIMUN in collaboration with Carmel International MUN is proud to present annual pride month talk show. We are all set to launch the event with its first episode for this pride month featuring Pulkit Mishra (A 20 year old who is pursuing B.Tech and has an ardent interest in fashion and makeup world.)

Workshop on sexual abuse

Sexual Abuse and everything related to it is usually kept behind closed doors, discussed in hushed voices with a shroud of shame over it. Let us break those barriers and talk about #sexualabuse aloud in the wide open, let's educate ourselves on this topic.

Cloth Donation

SSUIMUN in collaboration with Rotaract Club, Sri Sri University held a clothes donation drive in areas around Sri Sri University on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Our initiative was for needy ones.


It is a training and skill development center established under the name of VIDYA (Construction and Skill Training Centre). Formed under the PMKVY (Project of the Government of India) and SSRDP. VIDYA aims to up-skilling the school drop-out youths. This program trains them in vocational skills like masonry, bar bending, steel fixing etc.

Sri Sri Koushal Vikas Kendra

Sri Sri Koushal Vikas Kendra (SSKVK) has been established in association with Schneider Electrics on the 21st of December 2015. Under this program, over 900 trainees have been imparted skill development training in solar electrification, security guard training, hospitality, housekeeping etc.

Community Development

In June 2019, the University tied up with NALCO Foundation, the CSR wing of National Aluminium Company (NALCO) to provide training in Leadership, Women Empowerment, Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Environment Protection among others. This program aims to channelize the energy of youth and women in a series of social engagements for the purpose of strengthening the efforts of Rural Development.

Home for Homeless Project

Under the many initiatives taken, this project involves the construction of 15 houses in two adjacent villages and one Community Centre in the Arilo village, for wholesome community development.

Awareness and Training Camps on Health and Hygiene

Under this scheme, a number of programs were carried out in the year 2018. Some of them were, Nav Chetana Shivir, Bal Chetana Shivir, and Swachhata Chetana Shivir in the Ramdaspur Gram Panchayat in Cuttack, in collaboration with the International Women’s Conference (IWC), and Youth Leadership Training Programme (YLTP) to make the Panchayat, open defecation free.

Nav Chetna Shivirs (NCS)

This is a dynamic program that consists of Yoga & meditation techniques that are specially designed for socially, economically, physically, or emotionally challenged sections of the society.

Bal Chetna Shivirs (BCS)

This is a dynamic program that aims to empower underprivileged children of society to unlock their full potential. Processes under this program include interactive games, group discussions, creative assignments, and stress elimination techniques like breathing and pranayama.


Vastradan was a cloth donation drive, organized in collaboration with the NGO – Zindagi. The students of the University were very pro-active in donating their old and new clothes to the poor nearby villagers of Godisahi, Arilo, Sandhapur, Bidyadharpur, and many more. Over 100 kgs of clothes were gathered and distributed to each of the villages before the winter season.

Swach Bharat Shreshta Bharat

This initiative with YLTP as its patron integrated the objective of an open defecation free country as proposed under the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)’ of the Government of India. In this program, a door to door survey was conducted, wherein a detailed questionnaire was designed to assess the selected 11 villages of Ramdaspur. The survey captured the status of toilet facilities and sanitation in the community as well as the socio-economic background of the respondents.
